Saratoga - Old Havana

             

 

Hotel Saratoga, which re-opened in 2005, is one of the nicest, if not the nicest hotels in Havana. The hotel overlooks Parque Central and the Capitol building with many of the rooms offering magnificent views of the Capitol. The rooftop pool and bar offer great views of the city and are a great place to cool off in the summer. There is also a rooftop gym for those looking to stay in shape while visiting Havana.

This property has 96 rooms divided as follows.   

         Patio rooms (standard rooms): 40 standard rooms of 32 sq. meters (345sq.ft) with an interior window view.

         Saratoga rooms (jr suites): 49 standard rooms of 40 sq. meters (430sq.ft) with a window view to the outside, park or street. DVD player at this room.

         Prado: 2 duplex suites, 75 sq. meters, (807sq.ft) bedroom with living room, cathedral ceiling, visitorsí bathroom and outside balcony. DVD player at this suite.

         Capitolio: 2 flat suites, 60 sq. meters, (646sq.ft) bedroom with 3 windows and a living room with a large window, cathedral ceiling and visitorsí bathroom. DVD player at this suite.

         Habana: 2 master suites, 100 sq. meters (1076sq.ft). A bedroom with balcony and living room with veranda-balcony, cathedral ceiling and visitorsí bathroom.  DVD player at this suite.

Hotel attractions: 

The most important attraction at this hotel is location.  The privileged corner of Prado Avenue and Dragones Street put you at walking distance to the National Capitol, the Grand Theatre of Havana, a movie theatre, The Museum of the Revolution, The Fine Art Museum, the Partagas cigar factory and several parks and commercial arcades.

The hotelís main Anacaona restaurant was named after the popular female orchestra that performed at this hotel in the 30ís of the past century. There are 3 bars at this hotel and one of them is open around the clock.
