Palma Real Varadero -
The beach hotel Palma Real has been refashioned as the first hotel
specializing in Cuban music and dance. Cultural tourism hits new heights
at this resort where Cuban rhythms are performed throughout – especially
at the new and exciting Salsa Club.
A Cuban twist on the Hard Rock Hotels concept, the Palma Real provides a unique environment where guests can enjoy, dance, learn, and perform Cuban music and dance. A full-day program of classes – by professional dance teachers – includes dance, percussion and various musical instruments.
Step into the lobby and you’ve entered a Cuban music hall of fame, with audiovisual projections of music from different eras. Live musical moments are scheduled for the late afternoon, with renowned performers and traditional musical groups. The wings of the hotel are dedicated to different musical themes, like a Cuban carnival in full swing, with recorded music and projections of congas, mambo, chachachás, guarachas and guaguancó,among other dances. Latin jazz and bolero found here shelter as well.
Each afternoon guests can hear live performances of rumba, conga, son, and more. There’s also a weekly pool party with an Afro Cuban folkloric group, concerts, exhibitions and lectures on music, dance and Cuban culture.
There are salsa classes for children and a salsa show three times a week. Next door, Havana Club is Varadero’s trendiest nightclub; free for Palma Real guests (drinks not included).
4 Swimming pools are located in two different areas (entertainment and relaxation area), including one of pool for children. Furthermore the hotel boasts restaurants, cafeterias, and bars. It’s located a short (walking) distance from one of Varadero’s nicest beach zones.
The hotel features:
